With the market reopening up in NYC I have really dived into trying to find commercial representation. The challenge these days is that most agents are continuing to work from home. Do you think they would ever get something sent in mail or a voicemail left in the office? How would you suggest following up in COVID world if my initial reach out was through email?
Kim's Answer: Hiya! Good questions. So obviously im sure everyone situation is different and most ARE probably working from home..however with that said, im sure they are checking voice-mails (as their work phone numbers for the most part wouldn't change (So i think a phone message is a great way to go). I also think email is a great way to go (But know if may end up in spam so then a phone call may be in order) . i would also assume they are going to the office to get their mail or are getting it forwarded as they would have checks coming in the mail. So that too is still a good option (but not ideal as you dont know how long it would take for them to receive it). I might also suggest during this time to take a class with someone you already initially reached out to, if you can financially do it potentially as another way to get in the door (they may or not remember you but if you can have one-on-one time with them then you can obviously mention that you already made an initial contact and felt during this time this was a great way to take the next step in meeting and potentially facilitating a working relationship. :) Hope this helps!!
