How Did This Class Come About?
After working as a Broadway Wardrobe Dresser Swing on over 25 productions, a Supervisor/Dresser at the Metropolitan Opera, and a Supervisor at Jazz at Lincoln Center—plus years of experience backstage on national tours, regional theatre, and more—Kimberly began teaching one-on-one sessions on how to craft resumes and cover letters for dressers and designers that actually book work. Her clients started landing Broadway gigs!
As a proud member of IATSE Local 764 (NYC’s Wardrobe Union) for over 20 years, Kimberly's gone on to teach these same tools in workshops for industry professionals, including at IATSE 764 itself and as part of the Wardrobe Certificate Program at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology). This class is a culmination of that work with tools designed to help Wardrobe Dressers/Technicians and Costume Designers to get work!
